The thermo-hydrometer is an instrument
equipped with a gravimeter (thermometer and hydrometer)
that is used to verify the density of the LPG product
stored in the tanks, through the simple and safe sampling
of the product inside a test cylinder, tested and
certified for working pressures of up to 18 bar.
The gravimeter inside floats when a small amount
of the product to be checked is inserted and enables
the product density and temperature to be read, and
by referring to the ANSI table supplied with the device
the product composition can be identified with the
greatest precision.
The product identification may be requested from either
the Authorities (such as the Customs and Excise Department),
or by the owners to check the product on delivery
from the refinery when specific product orders are
given (minimum Propane or maximum Butane content).
